Freshers' parties

At the start of the academic year, faculties and student associations throw brucošijade (freshers' parties). In October 2026 the University freshers' party with Connect took place at Restoran Kampus on Trsat with free entry, while the Civil Engineering and Philosophy faculties held theirs at Klub Crkva, at €3.50 before midnight and €4.50 after. We only publish a brucošijada once a faculty, student union, club or ticket seller confirms it.

The weekly rhythm

Thursday is traditionally student night: Klub Crkva runs a weekly Student Thursday. The main nights are Friday and Saturday, when most clubs are open. Klub Palach, a student club since 1968, often has themed parties and gigs with no entry fee, and Nemo stays open until 5am at weekends with happy hour until midnight.

Going out on a small budget

Half of the Rijeka events with a published price cost €13 or less, and many club nights are around €8. Some organisers offer student discounts: for the Još gori concert at Pogon, students with a valid x-ica (the Croatian student card) can buy a ticket at the presale price at the door on the day, unless it is sold out. We only list discounts the organiser publishes, so always check the event page.

How to buy tickets

Most tickets are sold on Entrio, Core Event, Eventim or Tootoot, and some only at the door. Online tickets arrive by email, and a handling fee is added to the price. Every event page on rijeka.party links directly to the official seller.

For Erasmus students

Several hundred Erasmus students come to Rijeka every year. The student association ESN Rijeka, active since 2012, runs a buddy system and organises international dinners, speed friending, city games, pub quizzes, trips and parties. Club announcements and ticket shops are mostly in Croatian, which is why every event on rijeka.party has an English page with the same verified details.

Getting home

At weekends night lines 102 and 103 run (Jelačićev trg – Drenova every hour from midnight to 4am). Check the times on autotrolej.hr. For Trsat and outer neighbourhoods, sharing a taxi with friends is worth it.
