Linđo – “Homo u kolo” folk concert
Dubrovnik's Linđo folk ensemble wraps up its “Homo u kolo” mini tour on October 28 at the Rab sports hall.
“Homo u kolo” is the show Linđo is touring around Croatia this October. After Valpovo (October 24) and the main stage of the Croatian National Theatre in Varaždin (October 26), the mini tour ends at the Rab sports hall. The ensemble has been presenting Croatian folk heritage for more than six decades. It takes its name from the linđo, a dance from the Dubrovnik Littoral, Župa and Konavle, and it also performs dances, songs and costumes from other parts of Croatia.
The concert is organized by Pučko otvoreno učilište Rab, the town's cultural centre, under the patronage of the Town of Rab. Entry is €10. Tickets are on presale at the centre (Bobotine 1/A), Monday to Friday from 8:00 to 12:00. No online or door sales have been announced.
The organizer gives a 19:00 start, but Linđo's own announcement says 20:00, so check the time with the centre before you set off. For more folk, the LADO ensemble plays Rijeka's national theatre on November 21. You can browse more concerts too.
