Halloween falls on a Saturday this year, so Rijeka's clubs are packed: a two-floor vampire party, a metal gig, an all-night rave and even kizomba in costume.
How to pick your Halloween night
Rijeka offers three very different kinds of Halloween night. For free entry and a costumed crowd, Palach and the kizomba night at Mirage Bar charge nothing at the door. For live music, The Beertija has a three-band metal bill with limited capacity, so buy early. For dancing all night, there are big parties at Exportdrvo, Pogon and Crkva.

Tips for Halloween in Rijeka
- The costume counts. Several parties run best-costume contests, and Palach brings back its Scream Queen contest.
- Limited capacity. Smaller clubs fill quickly; where there is a presale, use it.
- Clocks go back. Winter time starts a week earlier, on October 25, so it is dark by about 5pm on Halloween.
- Getting home. Night buses are rare; book a taxi or a lift in advance, especially from Exportdrvo on Delta.
